MARINE DEBRIS PROJECT

The video below is a short film I produced to demonstrate the extent of marine debris pollution in my local area of Plymouth and the surrounding coastline. I hope the project enlightens and inspires!

Growing up in Plymouth, a coastal city in South West England, the marine environment was a significant influence throughout my childhood. From a young age I spent my time in the ocean developing a deep appreciation of its intrinsic value, a love affair that has lead me far and wide from surfing in Indonesia to freediving in Thailand. This appreciation translated into a keen desire to protect the marine environment for future generations and I am now studying towards a BSc in Environmental Science at Plymouth University. Through this blog I hope to shed light upon the pollution problems our oceans face and inspire others to take action in the protection of such a vital environment.
